Development and production in one location
Teletek Electronics develops and manufactures fire alarm, intruder alarm and voice evacuation products at its headquarters in Sofia, Bulgaria. The facility brings together research and development, electronic assembly, automated production, product testing, final assembly and logistics.
Our production facility includes a fully automated smoke detector assembly line with an annual capacity of up to two million detectors. Four SMD lines support electronic assembly with a combined capacity of up to 100,000 components per hour.
Production equipment includes ASYS laser systems, DEK printers, Yamaha pick-and-place robots, Heller reflow ovens and automatic optical inspection systems from Yamaha and Koh Young. Dedicated areas also support through-hole assembly, wave and manual soldering, panel assembly, laboratory testing and specialised electronic testing with SPEA and Teradyne equipment.
The headquarters also includes dedicated R&D offices and an EMC laboratory, allowing engineering, production and quality teams to work closely throughout the product-development process.
From idea to finished product
Bringing product development, manufacturing, testing and logistics together supports closer communication between teams and greater control throughout production.
It also allows feedback from testing and manufacturing to reach the relevant engineering and product teams more quickly, helping us improve products and processes while supporting reliable production for international markets.
Responsible and efficient operations
We continue to improve how our facility uses energy, materials and production resources.
In 2025, our photovoltaic system covered 37% of the company’s electricity needs, – up from 34% the previous year. Moreover, 12% of the additional electricity purchased came from renewable sources. Investments in new equipment contributed to a 7% reduction in defective products and an 18% reduction in electricity used for lighting. We also reduced plastic and polyethylene packaging by 28% and continued replacing paper materials with digital manuals, documentation and reporting.
Our broader progress in environmental, social and governance practices is reflected in our renewed EcoVadis Committed Badge, achieved with an improved sustainability assessment in 2026. The EcoVadis assessment covers environmental impact, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
