Fire Alarm Protection for the Academy of the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior
The Academy of the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior is a key educational and training institution in Sofia. It helps prepare future professionals in the law enforcement and public security sectors.
Together with our partner Tekra, we delivered an addressable fire alarm system designed to provide coordinated protection across the 36,000 m² complex. The installation is built around two iRIS8B fire alarm panels and includes more than 1,300 detection, manual alarm, notification and interface devices.

Through our cooperation with Tekra, the Academy was equipped with a scalable fire alarm solution suited to the size and varied functions of the complex.
Why an addressable system was the right fit
For this project, our solution is built around two Teletek iRIS8B addressable fire alarm panels. Their modular architecture, supported by 10 loop expanders, provides the capacity and flexibility required for an installation of this scale.
The wider Teletek SensoIRIS addressable device range brings detection, manual activation, monitoring and alarm notification together within one coordinated solution. Optical smoke detectors, heat detectors, manual call points, input-output modules and wall sounders can all be individually identified and monitored through the fire alarm panels.
Our Centralized Monitoring feature extends this connectivity further by enabling event logs to be shared across panels connected within the same network. This gives system operators a clear overview of the entire installation from any connected panel. This, in turn, makes alarms, faults and other events faster and easier to identify and manage across the complex.
