The Maakri Quarter in Tallinn, Estonia is a modern business and commercial district located in the city’s primary business center. The complex consists of seven commercial buildings that combine contemporary architecture with carefully restored historical structures. With a total area of 36,000 m², the quarter includes high-rise and mid-rise office buildings, retail spaces, and shared public areas. To ensure reliable protection for commerce and visitors, we at Teletek, together with our partners Alarmeco, implemented a modern commercial fire alarm system that provides fast detection and dependable fire saf ety across the entire complex.

Complying with EVS 812-8:2018 for high-rises was challenging, requiring fire alarms integrated with a voice evacuation system. Alarms and messages needed to alternate in 30-second loops, withpanel communication delays capped at 3 seconds – stricter than EN54-2’s 10-second limit.
