The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals provide a shared global framework for building a safer, fairer, and more sustainable future.
At Teletek, we use this framework to focus our efforts where we can create the greatest impact through our products, our operations, our people, and our partnerships.
Some of our achievements in 2025 include:
- 37% Of Teletek’s power needs were covered by our solar panels. 12% of the purchased add. electricity also came from renewable sources.
- 7% Reduction in defective products via new equipment.
- 18% Reduction in lighting electricity consumption.
- Paper use is down thanks to fully digital manuals and documentation.
- 28% reduction in plastic and polyethylene packaging.
- 45% Reduction in office paper usage through digital reports.
- 75% Of our key suppliers responded to our Supplier Sustainability Questionnaire, and all of them signed our Supplier Code of Conduct.
- 80% Of responding suppliers hold ISO 14001 certification.
what to we aim to achieve?
We have come a long way, but this is just the beginning! Some of our goals for the coming years include:
- Recycled Materials: By 2030, we commit to ensuring that at least 35% of the plastics used in our fire detector housings and control panel enclosures are sourced from post-consumer recycled (PCR) content. We also aim to reach 25% recycled plastic in housings of fire detectors by Q4 2026.
- Designed for easy repairs and upgrades: 100% of our control panels will be modular by Q3 2026, allowing for individual component replacement (e.g., power supplies or communication modules) to extend the product’s total lifespan to 10+ years.
- Net Zero Operations: Teletek Electronics is committed to striving for carbon neutrality (Scope 1 and 2) by 2035 through improvements in energy efficiency and greater use of renewable energy sources in our manufacturing operations.
- Supplier Audits: By 2027, 90% of our key electronic component suppliers must provide a Carbon Footprint report and demonstrate compliance with our Code of Conduct regarding ethical labor.
