Introducing Sentinel: Centralized Fire Alarm Monitoring Software

Teletek Electronics introduces Sentinel, a new monitoring software designed to provide centralized visibility and control of addressable fire alarm systems.

Supporting up to 120 fire alarm panels, Sentinel brings system monitoring, event management, and direct control together in one intuitive interface. From individual buildings to large, multi-facility installations, the software gives operators access to essential system information in real time.

Centralized Monitoring and Control

Sentinel enables operators to monitor individual or networked fire alarm panels, track device and zone statuses, and quickly identify fire alarms or technical faults.

Beyond monitoring, the software allows authorized users to perform direct actions, including silencing buzzers and sounders, initiating evacuation, resetting panels, and enabling or disabling devices and zones.

Key Features of Sentinel

Sentinel offers a range of functions designed to simplify everyday fire alarm system operation and maintenance:

  • Floor plan visualization: Import building layouts to identify the location and status of fire alarm devices across different areas.

  • Video verification: Integrate IP cameras to provide additional visual information when an alarm occurs.

  • Simplified configuration: Import TDF configuration files directly, including device and zone names, reducing manual setup.

  • Event tracking and notifications: Access event logs, export records, and receive email notifications.

  • Detector condition monitoring: View detector dust-level information to support maintenance planning.

  • Flexible operation: Benefit from different user access levels, multilingual interface support, and quick device search.

  • Sentinel also supports Modbus TCP/IP communication, providing additional integration possibilities.

Compatibility and Scalability

Sentinel is compatible with Teletek’s iRIS4, iRIS8, Iris Pro, Simpo, and Simpo X addressable fire alarm control panels.

With four available licensing levels and support for up to 120 panels, the software can accommodate a wide range of projects, from smaller commercial installations to extensive fire alarm networks.

By combining real-time monitoring, visual verification, and direct system control, Sentinel gives facility managers, security operators, and maintenance teams a practical solution for managing fire alarm installations more efficiently.
