PAX WL is a wireless expander module that connects PAX wireless devices to compatible Eclipse wired control panels, allowing installers to create hybrid intruder alarm systems without replacing the existing wired architecture. The module connects directly to the Eclipse system bus and becomes part of the panel configuration like other Eclipse modules.

Each PAX WL supports up to 32 wireless PAX devices and up to 99 PAX remote key fobs. Up to four expanders can be connected to one Eclipse control panel, with the total supported capacity depending on the panel model.
Wireless communication is bi-directional using the Beacon+ protocol at approximately 868 MHz. Six backup radio channels allow automatic channel switching if interference or jamming affects communication. Open-space radio distance is specified at up to 1,500 m.
