A complex venue with varied protection requirements
Officially opened on 21 March 2026, A1 Motor Park combines a 3.91 km racing circuit with facilities designed to support motorsport professionals, hobbyists, visitors and technical staff.
A project of this scale requires more than basic fire detection. The system must support a large number of devices, provide precise information about alarms and faults, and accommodate different conditions across the protected areas.
For this reason, we implemented an addressable solution that brings detection, manual activation, alarm notification and system control into one coordinated installation.
The selected fire alarm solution
At the centre of the system are five iRIS4 addressable fire alarm panels. The addressable architecture allows each connected detector, call point and module to be individually identified, helping operators locate alarm and fault events more precisely.
The installation also combines optical smoke detectors and heat detectors, allowing the detection method to be adapted to the conditions of each protected area.
Both standard and IP65 sounders were included in the project, too. The IP65 devices provide additional protection in locations where exposure to dust or moisture requires a more robust solution, such as in outside viewing areas, which can be exposed to rain (see photo below).
Addressable input and input-output modules were also integrated to support monitoring and control functions across the installation.
