PAX FD is a wireless combined detector that uses both optical smoke sensing and heat detection to provide fire alarm monitoring within compatible PAX security systems. Designed for indoor residential and commercial installations, it operates as a supervised 24-hour fire alarm zone.

The detector can connect directly to the ЕМА control panel in a fully wireless system or through the PAX WL expander in a hybrid system with compatible Eclipse panels. Its heat element uses rate-of-rise detection specified at 10°C/min, while automatic compensation of the optical chamber helps maintain smoke-detection performance over time.

Bi-directional wireless communication provides jamming detection, encrypted communication channels and RSSI signal-strength indication. PAX FD transmits fire, tamper and low-battery events, with wireless communication specified at up to 1,500 m in open space.
