PAX MC2 is a wireless magnetic contact for detecting the opening and closing of doors and windows. It can operate directly with the EMA per drahtloses Steuerungspaneel oder über PAX WL expander when building a hybrid intruder alarm system with compatible Eclipse control panels.

Beyond its built-in magnetic contact, PAX MC2 includes two additional wired inputs. One can connect an external wired detector, while the second supports a roller shutter detector. This makes the device useful where an existing wired contact or roller shutter needs to become part of the wireless system.

Bi-directional wireless communication provides jamming detection, encrypted communication channels and RSSI signal-strength indication. The device also reports open/close status, tamper activation and low-battery events.
