ResidentialPAX PIR is an indoor wireless passive infrared motion detector for PAX security systems. It can operate directly with the EMA wireless control panel or through the PAX WL expander when building a hybrid system with compatible Eclipse control panels.
The detector provides 54 detection zones with a 90° coverage angle and includes pet immunity for animals up to 10 kg. An adjustable pulse filter with one- or two-pulse operation and automatic temperature compensation help adapt detection behaviour to installation conditions. Pet immunity should still be considered together with mounting position, room layout and walk testing rather than treated as a guarantee against pet-related alarms.
Bi-directional Beacon+ communication provides jamming detection, encrypted communication channels and RSSI signal-strength indication. PAX PIR also reports movement, tamper and low-battery events and uses a standard CR123A battery with an energy-saving operating mode.
